Second Victim Comes Forward in Hann Case

July 9, 2013

The Hopkins County Attorney submitted a warrant late Monday afternoon for Unlawful Transaction with a Minor, 3rd degree, after a second victim came forward in the Samuel Hann case. Hann was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Detention Center Monday evening. Investigators found new evidence over the weekend that indicated Hann provided alcohol to a 14 year-old minor earlier this year. It was also discovered that Hann had planned a trip to Florida alone with this juvenile and was scheduled to leave the day after his initial arrest.

Early last week Hann was arrested on four felonies charges, including use of a 14-year-old minor in a sexual performance and was released on a signature bond. P’Pool said, “The signature bond set by Judge Whitledge would have permitted Hann to travel out of state alone with this victim. This risk is unreasonable and I will again seek a bond modification.”
