P’POOL ANNOUNCES CONVICTION FOLLOWING A JURY TRIAL AGAINST ROBERT M. YOUNG

On July 3, 2014, in Hopkins County District Court, a jury convicted Robert M. Young on several charges. Mr. Young was arrested by Trooper Joe Bartolotti, Kentucky State Police, on March 28, 2014, for DUI 3rd Degree – Aggravating Circumstance, Possession of Legend Drug, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Open Alcohol Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle.

Assistant County Attorney, Lee Riddle, presented the case to the jury on Thursday, who convicted Mr. Young on all counts and recommended 360 days in jail. “I appreciate the jury’s decision in this case. Our prosecution team has nearly a 90% conviction rate, if someone wants to drink and drive in Hopkins County, the overwhelming odds suggest you will end up in jail,” stated Todd P’Pool.

Mr. Young is set for formal sentencing on July 16, 2014 at 9am.
